Blanc de Gresa
Elegance and finesse. Barrel-aged complexity
Gresa marks the beginning of their project – the first wine they ever produced, and the one from which everything else followed. Today it includes both a white and a red, aged for a long period in wood and later in bottle, aiming to showcase the elegance and finesse of local grape varieties.
Barcelona/Editorial, September 15th, 2025.
Grape varieties:
55% White Grenache, 32% Grey Grenache, 13% White Carignan.
A white wine crafted from native varieties. The three come from two old-vine estates, aged 100 and 120 years, located in the flattest part of the region, where the soils are alluvial, made up of pebbles and sand. Organic viticulture under biodynamic principles, with meticulous manual work in the vineyard and a focus on recovering indigenous varieties.
Winemaking:
Fermentation and maceration on the skins for around 8 days at 24 ºC, with daily pump-overs, finishing fermentation in liquid phase at 16–18 ºC to achieve a balance between structure and freshness. Afterwards, a racking and around four months’ rest in stainless steel tank. Light filtration before bottling.
